WINNERS of the VitalCare Hospice House Kids’ Art Contest recently gathered at Hospice House to display their winning entries and collect their prizes. They are (from left) : Emily Grulke, age 7; Jeremiah Falkenberg, age 12, and Anindita Cita Warastri, age 17.
Emily is from Hawks and won a new bicycle, complete with pink and purple trimmings. Jeremiah is from Cheboygan, and won the latest version of a new iPod.
Anindita is from Indonesia, lives with a Cheboygan area family, and attends Cheboygan High School. She won $75 cash.
All three winning designs will be used in promotion of upcoming butterfly-related events. Plans are to print the designs on T-shirts and coffee mugs. Sales of these items will help fund the Hospice House Solarium and Community Reflection Garden Project.
