Hospice Volunteers
Hospice volunteers are the heart and soul of compassionate patient care. Providing clerical assistance in the office, visiting with hospice patients while providing respite for family members, and baking at Hospice House are examples of hospice volunteer roles.

VitalCare’s Hospice of the Straits and Hospice of the Sunrise Shore both recruit and train volunteers for a variety of helpful tasks. Collectively, our dedicated hospice volunteers contribute more than 800 hours of service every month!

Please note: Volunteers who are interested in patient care are requested to wait one year after the loss of a loved one before attending volunteer training.
